8th of March is the day you remember to be grateful about living in a comfortable age for women, for it is International Women’s Day!
Honouring the bravery and sacrifices that women (and men!) have made for us, spend the day showing your appreciation to the women in your lives, look for activities you can do and women’s causes you can find!
A surefire way to absorb the entirety of International Women’s Day is to head on down to Alliance Française de Kuala Lumpur (AFKL) for their women’s day celebration, where there will be cocktail reception, exhibition, book introduction film screening as well as a talk by AIM’s Executive Director.
At least that’s what Tandemic is doing! We are all looking forward to the film screening section as we will be reviewing ‘Women are Heroes’ by JR, a French artist known for his graffiti-style art in public places (he calls it the largest art gallery in the world). Admissions are free, so we’ll see you there!

Address: 12 Lorong Gurney, 54100 Kuala Lumpur
